During the funeral services of late US senator, John McCain, a lot of notable personalities such Meghan McCain, and former US Presidents Barack Obama and George [W.] Bush delivered moving and poignant eulogies, and shared their grief over losing John McCain together.
While the general atmosphere was quite solemn, a sweet gesture by George [W.] Bush caught the attention of viewers and made the otherwise somber evening, a little lighter on the heart.

George W. Bush was caught on CNN’s live footage of the event, passing a candy to Michelle Obama, from his wife Laura Bush. Michelle was seen seated next to her husband and former US President, Barack Obama, who couldn’t help but acknowledge the totally adorable gesture, too.
The former US Presidents also delivered poignant eulogies to honor the services of senator John McCain. While their eulogies were mostly somber in nature, the two of them made subtle digs at the current US President, Mr. Donald Trump, to relay how the late senator would have felt about today’s government.
Mr. Bush, after praising and appreciating the services of McCain, stated: “Perhaps above all, John detested the abuse of power. He could not abide bigots and swaggering despot.”
Mr. Barack Obama, too, could not help but err towards a light hearted note during his otherwise emotional speech, when he subtly acknowledged the facts that he had beaten McCain to the seat in 2008, and former President Bush had won the Republican nomination in 2000 during elections.
He said in jest, “What better way to get a last laugh than to make George and I say nice things about him to a national audience?”
Since the sneaky exchange of candies has caught the attention of the viewers, several social media users took to Twitter to express how they felt about the sweet gesture, and the internet had quite a field day over the gesture.

I’d like to think that moments like this between W. Bush and Michelle Obama are what McCain was hoping for. pic.twitter.com/vYE3A46Ity

I’d totally watch a travel show where George Bush and Michelle Obama go abroad and get up to wacky adventures. https://t.co/0US5Sot36G

This adorable indication of a friendship between Michelle Obama and former US President, George [W.] Bush, is not an isolated instance. The two of them have been seen sharing such sweet gestures and moments in the past, too.
The two shared a hug at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C., which garnered attention in a similar manner.
