The newest addition to the Royal Family, Prince Louis, is already stealing hearts everywhere! As he grows up, his resemblance to his older brother has fans cooing all over!
The newly christened baby looked happy in mother Kate’s arms as she showed him off in several candid pictures. Royal fans were quick to point out that the new prince shows a startling resemblance to both his mom and older brother Prince George.
While his older brother is now fair-haired, he used to have brown hair just like Prince Louis’ when he was younger. At the mature age of four, he is already expected to become a good role model for his new brother. After all, fans everywhere are calling the baby a ‘mini George’. The glowing baby was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury in a private ceremony on July 9, 2018.
Later, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge held a small tea for close friends and family at St. James Palace. Many photos were shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account and one of the captions stated, “The Duke and Duchess hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do.”
And enjoying it they are. Many fans kept commenting saying that Prince Louis also strongly resembles his mother. One enthusiastic user wrote, “He is Kate’s twin,” noting how the infant’s sparkling eyes and wide smile matched his mum’s. Kate looked like a true princess in her Alexander McQueen gown and regal Jane Taylor headpiece. The well-fitted white dress had puffy shoulder detail that set off her collarbones nicely. McQueen is the go-to designer for Kate; she wore the label for at wedding, and for Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s christenings.
Prince Louis himself was outfitted in lace and pomp! The little prince was thoroughly spoiled during the ceremony, which was graced by distinguished guests. The Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex all attended, as did the Middleton family. Everyone crowded round to get an official family portrait and here is where Princess Charlotte really shone through!
The pint-sized princess was seen sitting next to her mom but appeared only to have eyes for her new brother. While everyone else beamed at the camera, Princess Charlotte’s gaze was on Prince Louis and her hand was closed around his little fist. In the next shot, she finally looked at the camera and held her leg as she sat on the couch. This portrait also featured Kate’s side of the family and a happy and pregnant Pippa Middleton also joined in.
However, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip could not make it to the ceremony. The royal couple were busy in Norfolk attending another event. They were missed at the function, with many users commenting and asking about their whereabouts.
The Duchess of Cambridge is still on maternity leave following Prince Louis’ birth and does not have to perform any royal duties for the time being. However, she did manage to attend both the men and women’s tennis finals at Wimbledon. She was accompanied by her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, on Saturday as the pair attended the women’s finals. It was the first time they stepped out together, without their husbands.
Both the Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex seemed to be getting along very well. They were seen conversing happily at the women’s final and also at the christening.
