On 14 June, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj released their new single called ‘Bed’, which will appear on Nicki’s upcoming album, Queen.
The new debut, Bed, is one of the first pop singles that have been heard from Nicki’s album, Queen. This gives a hint that the rest of the songs in the album might entail a mixture of of pop and hip hop songs.
Ariana and Nicki were desperately waiting for the release and could not contain their excitement. The two took to Twitter to blow off some steam hours before the song came out.
Ariana wrote, “#Bed out in a few hrs.”
At the time of release, Nicki thanked Ariana for launching the song with her. She wrote, “I had been on the hook for a year so it never dawned on me to put someone else.”
She added, “Let me tell u smthn, Ari did it & sent it RIGHT back. Added all these beautiful harmonies & runs. Never over does it. Just ALWAYS gets it right. I fell in love. I called her screaming. OMG. #Bed.”
Nicki was extremely happy when it finally aired worldwide. She wrote, “I love my life #BED @ArianaGrande.”
Ariana showed everyone how excited she was and how much she loved Nicki. She wrote, “I love you so f**king much til the end of time. ‘Bed’ is out not and you’re getting a video too bye.”
The American rapper’s highly-anticipated album will be releasing on August 10.
Nicki has been on the run this year. Just last April, she scored two hip hop-rap songs, Chun-Li and Barbie Tingz. Then, from the same album, Queen, she launched a new collaboration with Lil Wayne. Now, in September, she will be touring with Future.
As for Ariana, her private life is just as sensational as her work life. From dating the Saturday Night Live comedian, Pete Davidson, to rumors of their engagement, Ariana has been on top of news as of late.
As for work, she paired up with Troye Sivan in their duet, ‘Dance To This’, and has more singles releasing in her upcoming album, Sweetner.
That is not all for Ariana. Both her new songs, Bed and Dance To This, and another one, No Tears Left To Cry, landed in the top 5. All three were on the iTunes worldwide song chart, with Bed at number 1, Dance To This at number 2, and her recent song, No Tears Left To Cry at number 5.
Ariana could not be happier. She wrote on Twitter, “I am eternally screaming thank you.”
