During his guest appearance on MasterChef Australia this week, Gordon Ramsay had one of his worst meltdowns when he picked up a plate of raw salmon and threw it across the kitchen.
The celebrity chef is famous for his hot temper and frequent outbursts in the kitchen, which have been displayed often on MasterChef US and his own show, Hell’s Kitchen. This week, the chef took on the responsibility of mentoring the MasterChef Australia contestants, resulting in one of the worst meltdowns ever.
During a team challenge, Ramsay annihilated the Blue Team leader Chloe Carroll’s dish. The teams were tasked with creating dishes the public would get to eat, and Ramsay wanted to make sure the final product was fully up to standard. In the middle of preparations, he asked Carroll to taste her own food samples. She took a bite and admitted that the food was ‘way over-processed’ and that she was not happy with it.
That was not enough for Ramsay, who yelled back and said, “Way over-processed? It’s like a rubber ball inside!”
He told Carroll that unless she pulled it together, he would shut down the entire restaurant operation. He then left the team to continue their prep. Near the end of the preparation time, Carroll and her teammate Ben Borsht took a sample of their salmon for Ramsay to try.
Viewers immediately sensed they were in for a show when Ramsay yelled to Carroll, “Come here!” He then picked up her salmon fillet and tore it open. He asked Carroll for her thoughts on the deconstructed dish and she confirmed that the fillet was raw. He yelled back and said, “That’s raw? I could put that back in the f**king sea and it’d start swimming!” Even though the contestants agreed with his judgment, the chef picked up the dish of salmon and threw it across the room.
Viewers of the show loved Ramsay’s blunt appraisals of the dishes.

Last month, the celebrity chef dressed himself as Robin Williams famous character in the hit 1993 film, Mrs. Doubtfire, for an episode on MasterChef Junior in Los Angeles. He was being addressed as Grandma Gordon.
