Travis Scott recently revealed that he will be wearing matching pajamas with Kylie and Stormi, something he did not like doing until very recently.
Stormi has been on tour with her mother and father on the Astroworld tour which kicked off in Baltimore, Maryland. While visiting the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston Hospital, he spoke about life on the road with his new family.
“I keep Stormi on the road, she’s got her own dressing room vibe, got her own bus vibe,” he said, adding that he recently learned about the parenting life but is happy to be fulfilling his “life goal”.
He added, “It’s so hard, because I grew up in a different household where I never had a nanny or nothing like that—my parents were never on a tour—so being able to do that and figure it out at 26, it’s like hard, but when you’re going through it, it’s like, ‘Oh this is dope.'”
He added that through the process, he has become more “selfless”. He explained, “You cut a lot of stuff out so that Stormi can have her best life, illest, illest time.”
Travis also talked about changing diapers, saying, “I’ve done it a couple of times, since it’s my daughter. I kind of let her mom do that. She’s really on it with the changing diapers.”
He also revealed his plans for the upcoming holidays, saying he is now into matching pajamas with Kylie and Stormi. He revealed, “Last Christmas it wasn’t my thing, but we did it for this other holiday and it was kind of cool, and we recently did it for Halloween. When you get a girlfriend you just start liking all types of stuff.”
While recently on Ellen, Travis revealed how his experience in the birthing room went during Stormi’s birth. Ellen said, “You have the biggest album of the year, and you have a brand new little baby girl. I mean, what a year for you.”
Travis told Ellen, “Yeah I just had to leave her to come up here, it’s hard. She’s so animated, she’s like running around the house right now on this new walker. She’s turning into this full-blown runner.”
Ellen asked Travis about Stormi’s birth and Kris Jenner’s role in it, referring to Kris as Travis Scott’s mother in law. She said, “Kris was here the other day, your mother in law, and she said that she helped deliver Stormi.”
Without denying her statement, Travis said, “That is a fact. She helped me out because it’s so scary. This is actually my first delivery room. She walked me through the whole process.”
He added, “There’s like this thing called like the placenta that I’ve been hearing about. I was fearful of that but I cut the umbilical cord. She held it down, Mama KJ, she’s the best.”
As the crowd laughed at Travis’ fear, Ellen asked, “So the placenta freaked you out?” Travis made faces to convey his horror, saying, “Very, very crazy.”
Ellen further asked Travis, “But you cut the cord and then there’s gotta be something amazing that you just created.”
Agreeing with her, Travis said, “You know, going into it, I was like nervous and scared, we’re both just young. But you know, when you first have the baby in your arm, it’s uncontrollable, it’s this whole like warp.”
As the crowd aw’ed at the new dads emotions, Travis added, “It takes over your whole body and I never thought I could just like love something so hard.”
Ellen asked Travis about his particular drink order for his dressing room as well, which included champagne, tequila, Ciroc apple vodka and Hennessy.
Ellen asked, “Do you mix these? What do you like?”
Travis explained, “I like the 42 but I keep the Ciroc because I had this one nightmare that Diddy might pop into my dressing room at any time of the day, and that just has to be there. And Hennessy might just be a daytime drink for anyone that might come through.”
Ellen replied, “Hennessy is a daytime drink? I didn’t know that,” as Travis laughed uproariously.
Travis Scott is currently in the midst of performances for the Astroworld tour.
