Taylor Swift threw a fantasy wonderland party for New Year’s Eve with her close friends and family, and Karlie Kloss was totally missing from the festivities. Is the feud real?
The Delicate singer posted videos from the event on her Instagram page, revealing that she threw a childhood heroes party. Swift dressed up as Ariel from Little Mermaid. With a red wig, a crab purse, a glitter bra, and a fitted green skirt all the way to her feet, Taylor looked uncannily like Ariel.
She also posted a group photo with Gigi Hadid as Mary Poppins and Blake Lively as Dorothy, along with her other friends dressed in a variety of outfits inspired by Frida Kahlo, Steve Irwin, and Posh Spice. Noticeably missing in this picture is the huge squad with which Taylor was once known to travel before she went silent on social media.
Taylor even did a hilarious plug with Ryan Reynolds for his Aviation Gin company, in which both she and the Deadpool actor are drinking straight from the bottle, seeming downright forlorn.
Taylor captioned the series of images, “Mary Poppins, Audrey, Ariel, Ms. Fizzle, Cinderella, Gwen, Mr. Toad, Avril, Nancy Drew, Posh Spice, Rizzo, Frida Kahlor, Steve Irwin, Dorothy… This new year we decided to dress up as our childhood heroes. Sending you all the love and hope going into 2019.”
As usual, comments were off underneath Taylor’s post. However, fans were quick to notice that Karlie Kloss was missing from the festivities. Taylor and Karlie, who were famously close before the former went under the radar, are rumored to have fallen out in recent times. This was only confirmed after Karlie’s interview with Vogue.
Kloss’ Instagram profile confirmed the suspicion that she was not in attendance at Taylor’s party. The supermodel is in fact on her honeymoon with new husband Joshua Kushner and spent the new year on a sunny beach. Taylor was not even present at Kloss’ wedding, and was touring at the time.
Neither Taylor nor Karlie have commented on their feud.
