Taylor Swift is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for Reputation. However, the 29-year-old will not be attending the Grammy’s because she is filming for Cats in London. She is not only going to be missing from the Grammy’s, but also from the BAFTAs where her boyfriend Joe Alwyn will be making an appearance.

Grande is nominated for God Is A Woman and her recent album Sweetener. However, she will not be appearing at the Grammy’s due to some drama between her and the Recording Academy. A source told Variety that she is going to be missing “due to a disagreement with Grammy producers over which songs she would perform.” Allegedly, Grande wanted to perform 7 Rings, but she was not allowed because she is not nominated for it.

Neil Portnow, The Recording Academy President, told E!, “Until Sunday, we don’t know how things turn out. We love Ariana… We won’t know exactly what this show will be until Sunday.”

Ken Ehrlich, the Recording Academy Executive Producer said, “I don’t think [Ariana will perform], there’s not enough time to make it work.” He told the Associated Press, “As it turned out when we finally got the point where we thought maybe it would work, she felt it was too late for her to pull something together for sure. And it’s too bad. She’s a great artist. And I’d love to get her in the show this year.”

Not agreeing with his statement, Grande took to Twitter to dispute him, writing, “i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.”

She added, “i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me.”
