Star of the hilarious Deadpool 2, Ryan Reynolds used the most graphic words to describe his uncomfortable Deadpool suit. On The Graham Norton Show, he said, “It’s like a big, red body condom but yeah, sure, call it a suit. Whatever you want.”
The actor appeared in the interview on BBC with co-star Josh Brolin and had quite a few funny stories to tell from the sets of the film and from his childhood. About the uneasy costume he said that it took a team of people to get him into it and he was always scared he would throw up or sneeze in the mask. “There’s no space in that thing at all. When I put it on, I can actually taste my own genitals. It’s disgusting,” he joked.
Brolin jumped in to corroborate Reynolds’ point and added that while working with actors in The Avengers – Infinity War, (he played the villian, Thanos), he noticed that their suits would be packed with material to make them look more buff. Whereas Reynolds’ suit did nothing of the sort.
The sculpted body suit showed off the actor’s real body, ‘oozing’ that he’d worked out. Brolin went on to praise his co-star’s method acting and described Reynolds as the ‘Daniel Day Lewis of comedians’.
The bromance between Brolin and Reynolds was clear and endearing as they doted over each other in the funny interview. Brolin also admitted to sending Reynolds a text message telling him how much he enjoyed working with him. Reynolds termed the message as a ‘love letter’.
Reynolds and Brolin have been touring worldwide in promotion for their film, Deadpool 2. It has already been released in UK and will hit US theatres this Friday. Reynolds describes the film as ‘bolder and nuttier’ than the first one and rightly so.
Each second of the movie is packed with punches, leaving audiences in fits. He added that the film was a lot of fun to shoot and much more entertaining to watch on screen. With this movie, they ‘pushed things further’ than the first film.

Funny man, Reynolds also spoke about his childhood growing up with a dad who liked to take photos of every waking moment. He said that his father would send out multitudes of photos to the family, including blurry images of ‘mashed potatoes’. Until one day, Ryan decided to take things into his own hands and snuck a photo of his genitals into the camera.
When the image got sent out to his father’s entire family mailing list, including ‘nana’ and ‘gramps’, that’s when his dad realised the importance of selecting and editing images. From then on, Reynolds’ dad only sent out a couple of images per email, he shared.
