Deadpool hijacks Walmart’s DVD aisle, replacing movie covers with its own, and the Internet can not get enough!

Deadpool 2 was released on May 15, 2018 but the marvel-ous advertising continues. Recently, the beloved ‘Merc with a Mouth’ took over all the Blu-ray movie slips in Walmart’s movie aisle!

Deadpool is celebrating its 2 year anniversary. The first movie was released in 2016 – against all odds – after the Internet went ballistic over a leaked test footage in 2015.

Ryan Reynolds, the man behind the project and the mask, has truly embodied the character in every way. The movie has never held back from advertising, and it is up to its old pop culture tricks again!

This time, with the release of the sequel, they definitely have turned it up a notch. After unexpected promotions like Reynolds showing up on a South Korean reality show and his wife Blake showing off her Deadpool nail art, they have now hijacked Walmart!

The special Walmart promotion includes the notorious Deadpool photo-bombing numerous Blu-ray movie slips.

From movies like The Terminator to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, all you’ll see is Deadpool. He did not even leave out his fellows X-Men and Logan!

Even Assassin’s Creed took note of the ingenious marketing! They included their own Blu-ray movie slip being invaded by the crimson mercenary on Facebook.

Considering the fact that the Deadpool star did not get a chance to appear in the X-Men movies as he wished to, it appears he did his best to somehow be a part of it now.

He also made sure the entire X-Men franchise was on display.

In 2017, Ryan took it upon himself to celebrate Deadpool’s first year anniversary in the most uncanny way imaginable. The super-hit movie was celebrated with toilet humor! Deadpool-branded toilet paper was made with witty promotional lines like “Ultra soft” or “60 percent more sheets”.

So, nothing should surprise us now, right? But with the 2nd anniversary of the movie as well as the sequel’s release, here we are, absolutely amazed at the advertising yet again!

With the David Beckham’s apology video, we were pleasantly surprised. The artistically beautiful music video with Celine Dion singing Ashes has been the talk of the town, too.

Did we ever think we would see Celine Dion in Wade Wilson’s arms and telling him off? We did not. But did it happen? It certainly did – and we have Deadpool 2 to thank for that!
