Pete Davidson was a guest on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Wednesday. When Fallon indirectly asked the Saturday Night Live comedian whether he got engaged to Ariana Grande, he confirmed it.
Host Jimmy Fallon jokingly said to Davidson, “Now, you know, you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to be on our show.” Davidson replied, “But I did, though.”
The audience cheered and hooted after his response.
“I feel like I won a contest,” he said. “It’s so sick. It’s so lit.”
Fallon congratulated Davidson by shaking his hand, saying, “You know we love her so much, and love you too.”

When asked how he is handling the engagement, Pete described how it is so funny to walk down the street and get nods of approval from other men. He went on to add that one guy came up to him and said, “Yo man, you gave me hope.”
Ever since the couple became Instagram-official two months ago, several sources claimed that the two were engaged. The rumor was nearly confirmed when Davidson posted a picture of Ariana with a giant rock on her finger.
The ‘No tears left to cry’ star had been wearing the same ring since early June, but neither Ariana or Pete confirmed the engagement until Davidson’s appearance on Fallon Tonight this Wednesday.
Robert Pattinson was also a guest on the show and was seen smiling his widest when the Saturday Night Live cast member announced his engagement. The comedian and the actor are very close to one another, and also reportedly spent time together at Robert Pattinson’s Los Angeles birthday party before appearing on the show together. Pete also wore Rob’s face on his shirt to the show.
According to a few of the many Ariana and Pete fan accounts, Grande was backstage watching her fiance on the show, and was super excited.
The officially engaged couple both came out of previous relationships not too long before they got together. Ariana was dating rapper Mac Miller, while Pete was in a relationship with Cazzie David, whose dad is comedian Larry David.
