Paris Jackson denied an alleged suicide attempt in expletive-filled tweets after reports that she had been rushed to the hospital early in the morning.
TMZ reported that Jackson was hospitalized on Saturday due to the controversy surrounding her father and ‘Leaving Neverland’. The article said that sources had said that police and EMS services rushed to Jackson’s Los Angeles home at 7:30AM after she slit her wrists, and she was then taken to a hospital, where her condition was stabilized.
Jackson took to Twitter to vehemently deny the rumors, writing, “f**k you TMZ f**king liars.” She also tweeted out a number of question marks with an unimpressed emoji.
TMZ initially alleged that Jackson attempted suicide as a response to Robson and Safechuck’s allegations in the documentary Leaving Neverland. Souces with more knowledge told AFP that the police did respond to an “attempt suicide” at 7:30AM after which the “subject was transported to a local hospital.” The source did not say that it was Jackson that required the assistance.
After Leaving Neverland, Jackson’s family has generally been in turmoil, with his music and TV appearances being rejected and even Louis Vuitton dropping a Jackson themed collection that it debuted at Paris Fashion Week in January, saying the “allegations in the documentary deeply troubling and disturbing.”
Paris, Jackson’s only daughter, recently tweeted out that it was “not my role” to defend her father, saying, “I’m just tryna get everyone to chill out and go with the flow, be mellow and think about the bigger picture. that’s me.” She added, “my father handled his trials and tribulations with grace, peace, and love. it’s a more effective way of life. i suggest we all take that as an example.”
Jackson attempted suicide in 2013, and has been open about her mental health struggles since.
