Offset revealed the extent of marriage counseling with Cardi B in a new interview, saying he doesn’t want to lose her and is prepared to do anything to make it work.
Offset appeared for an interview on The Breakfast Club. The rapper talked about his relationship with Cardi B, which has been notoriously up and down recently after he cheated on her.
He told co-host Charlamagne tha God that he really thought he would lose Cardi forever after he was caught being unfaithful to her. But the two stuck it out and decided to work on their issues. He said, “You gotta go through steps and different things so we can grow.”
He also talked about how the two of them are currently going through marriage counseling, saying, “Not on the TV though, real behind the scenes, getting to know each other, getting to know who you’re with and appreciate them all the way around”. When Charlamagne asked about therapy, Offset said, “Working through it. Gotta work, gotta keep. Don’t stop…we’re young, man.”
Cardi B told Harper’s Bazaar before the couple split up that she was not into the idea of therapy. She said, “I didn’t want to go to marriage counseling. He suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counselor or nothing that could make me change my mind.”
Offset also talked about how difficult marriage is, saying, “No, it ain’t hard to be married when you just really focus…do what you gotta do…you know what you’re doing…know it ain’t right.”
