Nicki Minaj has finally explained her flirty lines for Michael B. Jordan at the People’s Choice Awards

Fans immediately linked the two together

Nicki Minaj did not hold back in her forwardness towards Michael B. Jordan, but the rapper said her comments were nothing beyond a joke.

Minaj started the night off with a performance of Dip alongside Tyga, and took home awards for Female Artist of 2018 and Album of 2018 for Queen.

During her acceptance speech for Female Artist, Minaj said, “Shout out to Donatella Versace for custom making this outfit for me.”

She added, And shout-out to Michael B. Jordan cause he’s gonna be taking it off of me tonight.” The crowd and Jimmy Fallon immediately went wild, and fans immediately linked the two together.

E! asked Minaj why she made the joke she made and whether she and Jordan are familiar with each other, “No. I think he introduced himself to me one time, I believe at the Met Gala.”

She explained, “I was watching Black Panther last night, so he was just…happened to be fresh in my mind.”

Minaj also shocked fans with her shout out to Kim Kardashian. While receiving the award for Album of the Year, Minaj said, “Shout out to all the queens around the world that are maybe not at the place that they want to be in their lives but the fact that you are pushing and you’re not being lazy and you’re not complaining, but you’re going for your dream everyday, shout out to you.”

She added, “And also oh yeah! I want to shout-out, I’m going to dedicate this award to Kim Kardashian‘s a** in that dress tonight.”

Kim attended the People’s Choice Awards in a Jean Paul Gaultier nude sheer body con dress. She was accompanied by Kris and Kendall Jenner and Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian.

The Kardashian family received the reality show of 2018 award for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. In the acceptance speech, Kim referenced the Woolsey fire and the Thousand Oaks shooting.

She said, “It’s been a really rough week in our home in Calabasas, Hidden Hills, and [for] our neighbors in Thousand Oaks and Malibu.”

She added, “Our hearts are broken from the horrific shootings and those who have lost their lives and homes, as well as the hundreds of thousands of us that have been evacuated from the devastating fires that are currently burning.”
