Emma Corrin said in a statement released by Netflix, “I have been glued to the show and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal. Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity and I will strive to do her justice!”
The creator of the show Peter Morgan said to The Hollywood Reporter, “Emma is a brilliant talent who immediately captivated us when she came in for the part of Diana Spencer. Corrin will appear in Season 4 alongside Josh O’Connor from The Durrells’ who will play the role of a young Prince Charles.
The actress has previously appeared in the British drama Grantchester and will also appear in the series based on the origin story of Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s butler titled, Pennyworth. Apart from that, Corrin will also be starring in the historical drama Misbehaviour.
