The Kensington Palace has revealed that Meghan Markle is expecting her first child with Prince Harry 5 months after The Royal Wedding.
The Kensington Palace Instagram account revealed the information:
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announced that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”
The account added, “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share the news with the public.”
The news came just hours after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex touched down in Sydney for their first major international tour. They were seen holding hands as they arrived on Monday morning on a Qantas A380 from London.
The couple’s official duties in Australia will start on Tuesday to give them enough time to rest and recuperate after the long flight. The Duke and Duchess are accompanied by ten people to help them with their appearances, and Markle’s friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney is expected to join the trip as well.
The Duchess sparked pregnancy rumors as she was seen carrying two purple folders in her right arm so that they hid her stomach. She was dressed in a black turtle neck top with a coat featuring a maroon lapel and cuff.
Rumors of Markle’s pregnancy were already viral after her appearance at Princess Eugenie’s wedding last week, when Markle showed up in a loose fitting Givenchy coat that she did not take off upon entering the chapel.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married on May 9.
