Larsa Pippen, a close friend of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, is divorcing husband Scottie Pippen after 21 years of marriage and four children.
The Real Housewives of Miami alum filed for divorce on Friday, citing irreconcilable difference between her and the Chicago Bulls star.
The 44 year old is originally from the city of Chicago, like Kim Kardashian’s husband Kanye West, where she attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a degree in Political Science.
She listed the date of separation as October 29, asking for joint custody of her four children as well as spousal support.
The reality star has recently been sharing photos on social media without her engagement ring on, and was seen hanging out with French Montana recently.
She told TMZ, “It is with deep sadness that Scottie and I announce that we are legally separating. We have both tried very hard for a long time to make our marriage work and have ultimately come to the conclusion that it is best that we live separate lives.”
She added, “We have so many amazing memories together, remain best of friends and love each other very much. Our four children have always been our priority and for their sake we ask for as much privacy as possible for our family during this sensitive time.”
Scottie originally filed for divorce from Larsa in October 2016. Shortly after the announcement, Larsa placed two 911 calls in which she claimed that Scottie had verbally abused her, although no arrests were made.
A rep told TMZ at the time, “After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage. Although they are no longer to be married, Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their 4 beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect.”
At the time, tabloids reported that Larsa was bankrolled by Kourtney Kardashian, which she disputed in a thorough Instagram post.
Months after this disagreement, Scottie and Larsa were seen together at The Nice Guy in Los Angeles with Kourtney Kardashian and LL Cool K. In November 2017, the couple officially called off their divorce.
Larsa is a close friend of the Kardashian sisters, and was first seen out and about with Kim in 2012. She also made her Keeping Up With the Kardashians debut in the spin-off Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.
In 2014, Kim blogged about Larsa, saying, “I always call my friend, Larsa Pippen, for parenting advice!” She also called Larsa her “best friend” and the most “positive person” in recent episodes.
Larsa now manages her own lifestyle website called ‘Life with Larsa’.
