Kylie Jenner and Adidas are collaborating for a 1997 shoe. With her new campaign, she is joining sister Kendall Jenner and brother-in-law Kanye West.
The brand announced on Wednesday that Jenner is the face of the new campaign for the Adidas Originals Falcon Dorf sneaker, which is a multicolored running show created in 1997. It has recently come back into style and Jenner is now going to be bringing it to the attention of her millions of followers.
The brand said in a release, “As a life-long fan of the brand, Kylie embodies the bold spirit of Falcon and we are pleased to announce her as the face of the campaign.” Jenner added, “I’ve always loved Adidas and it’s exciting now being part of their Originals family, especially for Falcon.”
Alegra O’Hare, VP Global Brand Communications, said, “We are interested in creating tomorrow’s streetwear by reinventing the most iconic sportswear from our archives. Falcon is inspired by the Falcon Dorf, an iconic model from the ‘90s: its bold and unapologetic DNA is at the core of today’s Falcon and reflects the confident mindset of a new generation of female creative consumers.”
Jenner teased the collaboration last week. She wore the black and grey version of the shoes in a Snapchat video. A few days later, she paired Travis’ tour merchandise with the Adidas Originals x Alexander Wang sneakers. Both pairs of shoes are currently sold out.
Other members of Kylie’s family are also part of the Adidas brand. Her brother-in-law Kanye West is the force behind Adidas Yeezy Boost, which first introduced the yeezy 750 Boost “Light Brown” in 2015. Kendall also worked with the brand as the face for their Arkyn sneaker earlier this year.
The shoes will be available from September 6.
