Kim K slipped her way out of this uncomfortable interaction by using the “I don’t know her” card.
In her attempts at addressing the diss directed by Cazzie David at Kim Kardashian for the Kardashian’s overindulging in plastic consumption, Kim K employed the ignorance is bliss approach.
“I guess she DM’d me. She said, ‘You should stop using plastic water bottles in your home.’ And then somehow that was calling me out. She screengrabbed and called me, then posted it,” shared Kim on her Kim Kardashian West app on Thursday, September 6.
“If I am posting something and I am socially aware about something, you better believe I was making a change before asking someone else to make a change,” she added.
While the 37-year-old Kardashian sister was expectedly irked by Cazzie’s unwarranted comment, her former assistant on KUWTK, Stephanie Shepherd, comforted Kim K by telling her, “People do that to get attention.”
Kim replied, “Yes, I have no idea who she is.”
This diss was directed at Kim K when she shared a post about the excess of plastic in the ocean on her Instagram story, back in July, and termed it as a “Plastic Emergency.” She wrote, on top of the photo, “Our next generation has to live with this! Let’s care enough to fix it!”
Cazzie David saw the post, and took to her own Instagram to issue a response to KKW. On her Instagram story, David posted, “Have your family stop using plastic water bottles!” the 24-year-old actress wrote before adding, “30% of the worlds plastic consumption is in the Kardashian refrigerators.”
Cazzie has been in the news over her split-up with the comedian, Pete Davidson, a while before he started dating his now fiancé, Ariana Grande. She has not always been critical of Kim K, but has instead commended Kim’s expertise in a social context. In an article David wrote for Vanity Fair in October 2016, she appreciated Kim’s social skills.
“People so often forget that their Instagram is more than just their latest post. Before posting, step back and look at the bigger picture, a.k.a. your ‘flow,’” Cazzie shared. “Kim Kardashian West uses the same filter for all of her photos in order to maintain her light, golden-brown Insta flow. You can’t live your life on a post-to-post basis — it will make your flow sloppy and you simply can’t have that.”
