Khloe Kardashian has taken to Twitter once again to defend herself against mommy-shamers who took issue with her attendance at a poker event.
On Sunday, July 29, Khloe went to a charity poker event to raise money for cancer center City of Hope. She was accompanied by sisters Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner as well as Momager Kris Jenner. Khloe left four year old daughter True behind with her father Tristan Thompson, but this was not enough for mommy-shamers who questioned Khloe’s decision to enjoy some personal time.
Actress Lala Kent posted a video of herself playing poker with Khloe Kardashian from the event. One fan took to the post to comment, “Who’s watching her baby?” Not letting them get away with it, Khloe fired back, “her dad but thanks for being so interested.”
She then later took to Twitter to write, “Mommy shamers r at a high right now. I’m sick, at a charity event & I’m getting slack 4being here bc I have a baby? Her dad is watching her while I’m trying 2bring awareness 2an amazing organization. But either way, what’s wrong w a new mom letting daddy take over 4a few hours? (sic)”
This is not the first time social media has attacked Khloe for her parenting abilities. In June, Kardashian was targeted for using formula to feed her baby instead of breastfeeding. She wrote on Twitter, “Mommy shaming is real! But the truth is I’ve tried and tried and tried to breastfeed only and it wasn’t working for me. I feel fortunate that I am able to still breastfeed but with the help of formula. Breastfeeding is something I really wanted to do. Just am not fully able.”
She has also been criticized for her decision to continue her relationship with Tristan Thompson despite the cheating allegations against him. She took to Twitter once again to fire back at a fan saying she was setting a bad example for fans, writing, “you have no knowledge of what goes on in our household or the enormous rebuilding this takes to even coexist. I’m proud of my strength. I appreciate your opinion and I hope you hold that same opinion to everyone else who has stayed in situations (sic).”
She also faced major backlash when fans realized she had had her daughter’s ears pierced at only two months old. She was accused of putting her child in pain for vanity’s sake, even though medical practitioners have ascertained that piercing children’s ears between the ages of two to four months is safe as long as good practitioners are used.
Khloe was also attacked just a few days ago when she posted a throwback picture of her daughter in which her neck was bent. Fans went as far as accusing Kardashian of using her baby as an accessory for good pictures and not caring about her actual health and well-being.
True Kardashian will be four months old on August 12.
