New mommy Khloe Kardashian has just announced that she is struggling with motherhood. The reality TV star gave birth to daughter True recently and she has now revealed she is not sticking to just breastfeeding her baby. Khloe uses a combination of breast feeding and formula milk to keep True fed.
“Because I don’t produce enough milk, I also have to give a bottle with every feeding,” she explained. Ever since she gave birth, fans were wondering whether she would take the plunge and breastfeed, or use formula. Using formula milk gets a pretty bad rep generally and many haters have accused Khloe of being lazy or not wanting to give her daughter the nutrition she needs.
Khloe has an answer for all the haters. The new mom justified that she would love to breastfeed but since it does not prove sufficient for True, she also provides her with formula. She uses special formula which has to be given to True within 30 minutes of it being made. Khloe uses a machine to make the milk for her baby. Speaking of the machine, she said, “It’s super easy to use—and fast, so when I’m exhausted and can’t even keep my eyes open in the middle of the night, it’s a total lifesaver.”
The KUWTK star also added a statement from lactation consultant Diana Cassar-Uhl. Diana explained that newborn babies can easily be fed using baby formula and there is no ‘curse’ or issue with using this method. Hers is an unpopular opinion, but unfortunately for haters, it is backed by science.
“Concerns about milk supply and whether the baby is growing enough has consistently emerged among the most common reasons mothers introduce supplemental bottles of infant formula or stop breastfeeding altogether,” Diana said.
Asides from milking issues, Khloe has also been struggling to get back in shape after the birth. She spoke to fans on Snapchat, saying she is still trying to establish a workable schedule for fitness and baby care. The mommy mostly works out between feedings, but this can be challenging, especially since True has inconsistent feeding and sleeping patterns.
However, she said she will be getting back on track in terms of fitness because True has now turned a month old, marking an important milestone in both mother and daughter’s lives. “Baby True is a month old today, so it’s a big day for the both of us. I’m going to be documenting me trying to get this body back, my mind, everything strong,” said Khloe.
The ‘Revenge Body’ host isn’t the only mother who has faced breastfeeding and fitness issues after giving birth. Chrissy Teigen is another mommy who opened up about her struggles earlier. She shared a Snapchat photo of her breasts from an aerial perspective, in which one breast looked much larger than the other. “I really should have nursed out of both boobs,” she captioned the photo.
Khloe doesn’t need another thing for haters to attack her on. She is already struggling to explain to her fans why she took partner Tristan Thompson back after he allegedly cheated on her with multiple women. Times are tough on the new mommy right now but her fans hope she will get through them soon!
