Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Elsa Hosk and Hailey Baldwin are set to be subpoenaed over Fyre Festival payments as part of the bankruptcy filing of the festival.
The agencies that represent these models and many others are set to be subpoenaed in the Fyre Festival’s bankruptcy documents according to E!. While investigations into the festival continue, the bankruptcy trustee Gregory Messer filed an order in the bankruptcy court to examine a group of agencies. On Monday, the order was approved.
There is still widespread confusion about what happened to the $26 million that Billy McFarland, Fyre Festival’s founder, raised through investments. The total number of payments being investigated so far equals $11.3 million, which is according to the number of orders.
Messer is looking at IMG Models, DNA Model Management and Kendall Jenner Inc. to investigate the payments that were made to these agencies in order to have these models appear at the Festival and take part in the promotional video.
According to Billboard, McFarland paid IMG $1.2 million over the four months from November 2016 to February 2017. IMG represents Hailey Baldwin, Elsa Hosk and Bella Hadid. Kendall Jenner received $250,000 for her role in the promotion of Fyre Festival in January 2017 as well. DNA Model Management, which represents Emily Ratajkowski, received $299,000 in March 2017.
Messer also wants to subpoena Soulja Boy and Waka Flocka Flame.
