The Kardashian sisters seek family therapy to settle their differences

On this week’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the Kardashian sisters attempted to reconcile their differences through therapy.

The differences stemmed from the epic sibling fight which was broadcasted to the world earlier this month. It was Kim K’s idea to have her family sit down in the presence of a mediator to try to make peace between themselves.

Kim K said, “We all communicate really weird and we just don’t ever express what’s really bothering us and we all walk on eggshells around each other.”

While the oldest sister Kourtney, 36, had her reservations about a family therapy session, the younger sister Kim, 35, managed to convince her sisters that a therapy session was necessary. She was assertive about the idea, and told her sisters that they were ‘all going to therapy together’.

She also added, “Well we’re all going to therapy together, so it’s happening,” Kim demanded. “Because we all need to communicate with a mediator and we don’t have that mediator.”

When Kourtney suggested an alternative to sitting down for family therapy — ‘talking it out’ amongst themselves, she was met with a harsh response by her sister Khloè. “Kourtney has commitment issues,” Khloe remarked. Khloè also told Kourtney, “If you don’t care to fix relationships with your sister I can’t force you to.”

Kourtney snapped at her sisters earlier by accusing them of not being happy for her, and for disregarding her penchant for traveling. “I just think you guys aren’t, like, happy for me.”

She continued, “The show is more important for you guys and maybe traveling isn’t a priority to you but it is to me.”

During the therapy session, Kourtney proved to be a tough nut to crack, as she was seen to be dismissive of Kim and Khloe’s opinions and feelings. However, awhile later, she came around to the concept of ‘sister therapy’ and confessed to being the one who ‘invented mean fighting’.

She said, “I’m the one who invented mean fighting … I’m just not wanting to fight like that anymore. … I don’t want to spend my time around people that are mean and putting me down.”

This admission of distaste for mean fighting by Kourtney was rehashed by her sister Khloè to the mediator, in an attempt to pin-point Kourtney’s insecurities. Khloè was also quick to reveal, “It’s an insecurity I have never seen from her before.”

This decision to engage in a conversation around a mediator was put forward by Kim K earlier last week at the Late Late Show with James Corden. Kim declared in a conversation backstage that Kourtney’s new therapist may be responsible for the change in her behavior, as she has become a ‘different human being’.

Although Kourtney replied by saying, “I don’t hate you because of my therapist,” the new episode suggests that Kourtney’s statements are taken with a grain of salt by her sisters.

Kim responded to Kourtney’s vulnerable admission of responsibility for starting mean fights with a candid remark: “You’re preaching that you just want this Zen life and that you’re so positive and you don’t want to fight, but then most of the time you’re arguing about stuff that’s like, ‘Again?'”

While Khloè and Kim seem to agree on Kourtney being ‘insecure and anxious’, Khloè ended the discussion on an optimistic note by saying, “I do feel a major disconnect between Kourtney and I specifically, and I would like to understand what that is.”
