Kanye West has announced that he was politically used and is leaving politics to focus on creativity, and the responses he is getting are hilarious!
Kanye has given up on politics three weeks after he historically visited the White House on October 11 and told President Donald Trump that he makes him feel like a superhero.
“My eyes are now wide open and now realise I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!” he wrote.
West specifically attempted to distance himself from Blexit, a campaign trying to get black Americans out of the Democratic Party.
He was linked to it after the leader, Candace Owens, said Ye had designed the logo and hats for the movement.
“”I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I have nothing to do with it,” he elaborated.
West also revealed who he really supports and what his actual beliefs are, writing, “I support creating jobs and opportunities for people who need them the most, I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer.”
He also wrote, “I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable. I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.”
He also thanked his family and friends for supporting him, writing, “I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world.”
Fans and followers had a variety of reactions to Ye’s avid retreat from politics.
Rosie O’Donnell said, “listen to ur doctors ye take ur meds.”
One fan wrote, “Is this actually a #Yexit !? No more wearing your red MAGA hat around? Glad you’re woke now.”
Another appreciated Ye’s stance but did not like how he dissed Owens, “Personally I think entertainers should be Apolitical cause the minute you take a political stance, you alienate or anger half your audience. It is a smart decision but the way you handled it, putting Candance on blast was very cowardly for some1 who calls themselves a free thinker.”
Another one said, “Damage is done son.”
Another one speculated, “Kind of feels to me that his mother in law (momager) may be behind this.”
Others also referenced West’s in-laws, the Kardashians, writing, “Yeah, he’s probably impacting their payday at this point.”
A Trump supporter wrote, “Well you weren’t used. You were working for a great cause to help the soul of America. You are welcome back anytime!”
One warned him, “Get ready Kanye, you are about to feel what Trump does to people who he thinks betray him. There is a price to pay for dealing with the devil. I wish you no harm, but this man has no soul and will take his revenge.”
Yet another said, “Of course you were used. Trump hates all people of color. He and his dad used to deny housing to black people and got fined for it. He hates Hispanics, native Americans and Muslims too.”
Hundreds of fans also simply responded to Ye with memes.
