Country music star Justin Carter passed away after an accidental shooting on the set of a music video in Texas. The gun was loaded.

The country music singer was on set in Texas when he was shot by a gun that was being used as a prop on the set. The singers’ management team confirmed the accident on Tuesday.

A message posted by Carter’s team on his social media read, “Please Keep Justin’s Family In Your Prayers & Give Them Privacy In This Hard Time. Justin Is No Longer With Us, He Has Passed Away. He Will Be Missed By Us All, He Was Always Full Of Joy, Laughter, And Loved On So Many People In His Life. Justin Appreciated All His Fans And Their Support.”

The message continued, “Justin Loved All Of You. Thank You All For Your Support! We Will Have More Details Releasing Soon On How You Can Help Donate & Help His Family With Burial And Everything! Rest In Heaven My Brother!”

His mother Cindy McClellan told ABC13, “His music was his world.” Mark Atherton of  Triple Threat Management said, “Justin had a potential to, you know, in our eyes, and a lot of people’s eyes to be the next Garth Brooks.”

One fan wrote on his social media, “I will miss you forever. The past days have been so hard. Always shine over me… one day I will see you again in heaven. [Prayers] for your family and friends. Amen.”

Another wrote, “My prayers are with y’all especially Justin’s family and friends but also the fans. It’s so hard to face times as this but Christ Jesus in heaven has it all in His hand.”
