Alwyn recently went public with his profile, and his Instagram has over 76,000 followers already. He only has 11 posts on his profile so far, but there are plenty of Taylor Swift references in those 11 pictures and captions already.

Here are a few main things you need to know about Joe’s Instagram presence!

1. Taylor Swift does not follow him

A search for the You Belong With Me songstress in Alwyn’s followers yields numerous fan accounts dedicated to the singer, but she does not follow her boyfriend’s social media herself.

2. He follows his girlfriend’s account

While Swift does not follow him, Alwyn follows both her and her best friend Gigi Hadid’s accounts. He does not follow the accounts of Swift’s other best friends, such as Karlie Kloss or Selena Gomez.

3. She has liked his most recent post

Although Swift does not follow him, she has liked his most recent post of him on the set of The Favorite movie with Emma Stone, showing off to the world that she does know his profile exists.

4. Him and Taylor saw the tall cactus together on 8 May

A day before Swift went on tour, she posted a picture of herself next to a tall cactus. She captioned the photo with a cactus emoji, alongside, “Fact: I’ve never been more excited about a tour than I am about this one. And it starts TOMORROW. Also, not even remotely tour related, but today I met a cactus.

As it turns out, on the exact same date, 8 May, Alwyn also posted a photo of himself next to the cactus on his then-private Instagram. He captioned the photo with a simple cactus emoji, forgoing an elaborate caption.

5. Taylor’s photography influence can be seen on his Instagram

A Polaroid shot on Alwyn’s Instagram page starkly resembles the photography style in the pictures Swift has used for her campaigns for albums 1989 and Reputation. Although he did not credit her with the shot or leave any hint that she has taken the picture, he captioned it with a Christmas tree emoji, which we all know are a reference to Swift.

She grew up on a Christmas tree farm, is notoriously cheerful around Christmas time and has told many interviewers that Christmas is her favorite time of the year.

6. Comments are turned off for all his posts

Alwyn does not have comments activated for any of his posts, probably to save himself from comments or questions directed at his tabloid-popular girlfriend. Since purging her Instagram and making a fresh start, Swift also has comments deactivated for all the pictures she now posts on her social media. Alwyn seems to have taken the cue from her about his post settings.

The Favorite movie is due for release on November 28 of this year.
