Actor Jan-Michael Vincent passed away at the age of 74 years after suffering from cardiac arrest. Vincent was known for his role in the TV series Airwolf.

Vincent actually passed away on 10 February according to his death certificate. It also detailed that he was in a hospital in North Carolina at the time and passed away from a cardiac hospital in this facility. The late actor is survived by his third wife, Patricia Ann Christ.

The actor was born on 15 July 1994 in Denver, Colorado, and first made an appearance on the big screen in 1967 when he appeared in the television film called The Hardy Boys: The Mystery of the Chinese Junk. His character was named Mike Vincent in the movie. In the 1970s and 80s Vincent was able to land some commendable work with major actors of the time, including Kris Kristofferson and Victorial Principle in Vigilante Force (1976).

Vincent was known and loved for a number of his older on-screen appearances and especially for his portrayal of the character of Stringfellow Hawke in the TV series Airwolf that aired in the 1980s. Vincent appeared in this TV show alongside the late Ernest Borgnine. He was so popular in the role he played that he was reportedly paid $200,000 for every episode he starred in.

The actor was also well known for his roles in The Mechanic alongside Charles Bronson, in Hooper with Burt Reynolds and in the surfing film Big Wednesday. In 1981, he appeared alongside Kim Basinger in the movie Hard Country. After Airwolf, Vincent’s acting career slowed to a halt and he stopped working altogether in 2009. His last performance being in the 2002 movie White Boy. In 2012, Vincent battled a life-threatening infection that led to the lower half of his right leg being amputated.

He was nominated for two Golden Globes during his career. One in 1971 for the movie Going Home and the other in 1984 for the miniseries The Winds of War.
