Former Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria, gave birth to her first child on Tuesday, June 19, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Longoria and her husband, Mexican businessman Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston, told HOLA!USA magazine that their beautiful baby boy, named Santiago Enrique Baston, is a ‘beautiful blessing’.
Longoria has been ecstatic about being a mom ever since the couple confirmed the pregnancy in December.
“I can’t wait to meet him,” she told E News at the premiere of her movie, Overboard.
“I just can’t wait to see what his personality is like, what he looks like, how much hair he’s going to have. There’s so much to look forward to, and it’s becoming more real every day.”
Logoria also confessed in 2011 that she really wanted to get pregnant after babysitting best friend Victoria Beckham’s daughter, Harper. She told a TV interviewer, “I want to have kids and be a mum.”
Eva first met Mexican Televisa executive Jose ‘Pepe’ Baston back in 2013 on a blind date, arranged by a mutual friend. Jose Baston was previously married to actress Natalia Esperón from 1995 and 2005, and has three children – Mariana, Natalia and Jose – with his ex-wife.
Before her pregnancy, when the brunette beauty was asked about the possibility of starting a family with Bastón, Longoria told E!, “Right now I am a step mom to three amazing kids, and I’ve had my hands full, and they are amazing and wonderful. It’s been a lot of fun, a lot of fun being a step mom.”
“It if happens, it happens – if it’s meant to be it would be a blessing,” she added.
The actress also expressed that her pregnancy was ‘hard’. She said, “Everything’s uncomfortable. It’s not just your belly — everything gets bigger. I’ve never seen my thighs so big, and my [breasts], they’re in the way of everything. It’s hard.”
Longoria as been documenting her pregnancy on Instagram with frequent posts of her baby bump, and also told fans she was trying to get physical exercise every day to get her son ‘here faster’. She hinted that her pregnancy was difficult, adding, “Thank God there’s a human coming out of this experience.”
Two days before giving birth, Eva also took to Instagram to show her support for Mexico in the World cup Series and posted a picture of herself 9 months pregnant with baby Santiago, captioning the post with “¡Vamos Mexico!”
Aside from her baby news, the proud mama also finally received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in April 2018. The actress also recently shared the trailer for her new American family comedy-drama film, Dog Days, after giving birth to her beautiful baby.
