The Rock’s birth announcement of his newborn baby with fiancé, Lauren Hashian, is the best thing about this week. The proud dad took to Instagram to introduce the world to Tiana Gia Johnson, his third daughter, in the most emotional and heartfelt Instagram post ever.
The image he posted showed the doting dad making skin to skin contact with his tiny baby and displayed a whole host of his tattoos. He wrote ‘blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world’ and told fans that his fiancé ‘labored and delivered like a true rockstar’. The Rock’s birth announcement went on to say that he was raised by and has always been surrounded by strong women in his life.
In an emotional confession, he went on to write that after participating in Tiana’s delivery he had a ‘new level of love, respect and admiration’ for his partner and all the mothers out there in the world.
‘The Rock’ extended his wise words of wisdom to other expectant fathers, urging them to be there with their partners through the delivery process. Whether it be ‘holding hands, holding legs’ or providing support in any way possible, he said that being a part of the delivery was crucial in understanding ‘the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer’.
We definitely need more men like Dwayne in the world, who love and appreciate mothers for their rockstar status. For The Rock, it was clear through his post that witnessing the birth of his baby girl was a ‘life changer’. He said that the respect and admiration he felt for Lauren, after the experience, is ‘boundless’.
He also addressed his daughter directly and made a promise to ‘love, protect, guide’ her and make her laugh for the rest of her life. ‘The Rock’ has two daughters before Tiana, Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia. Jasmine is his first child with current partner, Lauren, and 16-year old, Simone, is his first daughter from ex-wife Dany Garcia.
He finished up his post in true Rock fashion, with some humour. He said, “Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hate in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear. Oh and one more thing.. you’re gonna love rollin’ in daddy’s pick up truck”.
The birth announcement was emotional, powerful and everything that was needed from a supportive father and husband in the 21st century.
A few months back, The Rock and his fiancé announced the gender of their then unborn baby on Instagram, using the help of their adorable 2-year-old, Jasmine Lia Johnson.
In the post, Dwayne wrote, “once again, big daddy is completely surrounded by beautiful estrogen and loving powerful female mana. All girls. One dude. And a boy dog. I wouldn’t have it any other way.” The Hawaiian word ‘mana’ implies influence and authority.
