‘Downton Abbey’ is back with an all-new movie trailer. The Crawley family has returned.
The British television series ‘Downton Abbey’ ended after six seasons in 2015. The movie picks up in 1927 and shows the Crawley family waiting on a visit from the Royal family i.e. King George V and Queen Mary.
Many cast members shared the trailer and their excitement for the movie.

The movie will feature Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary Crawley), Maggie Smith (Violet Crawley), and Huge Bonneville (Robert Crawley) returning to their roles. Newcomers include David Haig as the King’s butler. Simon Jones and Geraldine James will play the King and Queen of England respectively.

The screenplay for the movie has been written by Julian Fellowes, who also created the show. The show has received many accolades including 15 Primetime Emmys, 3 Golden Globes and a BAFTA Award.
The trailer shows the household getting ready for the Royal visit and even shows the return of the butler Charles Carson (played by Jim Carter) who stopped working at Downton when the television series ended. The trailer ends with the Countess of Grantham (Elizabeth McGovern) welcoming the King and Queen to Downton saying, “Your Majesties welcome to Downton Abbey.”
