Anna Faris and Chris Pratt were spotted together, a year after they officially separated, out on a casual stroll with their son Jack in Santa Monica, California.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star and his ex-wife Anna split up in August 2017, after eight years of being married. The two have remained on cordial terms with one another since they split up, and now co-parent their son amicably.
On the 27th of August, two days after their son Jack celebrated his 6th birthday, the trio was seen hanging out in Santa Monica in California.
The pair was seen in a casual attire, taking their son on a walk. The Overboard actress, Anna, was seen sporting a pair of ripped jeans, paired with a plain black shirt, while the Jurassic World star, Chris, sported a gray baseball hat and v-neck shirt, which he paired with a dark pair of shorts.
Today, on the 29th of August, the duo stepped out again for another walk with their son. In pictures which are being circulated on the Internet, Anna is seen looking chic in a casual pair of jeans with a sheer white t-shirt, while Chris looks equally comfortable in a pair of grey shorts with a checkered buttoned down shirt. The duo can be seen chatting with each other, as they hold onto their son together.
Chris, 39, has recently been vocal about the consuming effects of taking a divorce, but in spite of the ugliness that normally ensues in the after-math of separation, Pratt and Anna have kept things friendly. The two have mutual respect for one another, and mutual love for their son, who they co-parent on welcoming terms.
The pair has also moved on in their personal lives; while Anna has been spotted with her boyfriend Michael Barret, Chris has been spotted hanging out with Katherine Schwarzenegger.
While talking to Entertainment Weekly as part of their Summer Movie Preview, Chris expressed how he feels about his divorce. “Divorce sucks,” Pratt expressed.
“But at the end of the day, we’ve got a great kid who’s got two parents who love him very much. And we’re finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another. It’s not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better,” he further shared.
Anna, 41, shares similar feelings about the split with her ex-husband. She perceives their marriage as an extremely important event in her life, one that taught her some significantly meaningful lessons.
“We have a great friendship, we really do and we always have,” Anna previously shared with SiriusXM’s Hits 1 in Hollywood. “And it’s always tough to envision your future as one thing, but I think there is a lot of love.”
“I think it’s a lesson learned a little bit in terms of keeping relationships a little more private, potentially, even though I pride myself on being a pretty open person. But, I don’t know, it’s tough when you’re under the scrutiny,” Anna once expressed.
“I think it means valuing yourself. I was such an insecure kid that if anybody [was] remotely attracted liked me I was just completely smitten. Like, I can’t believe the popular guy likes me.”
“I think my mom was always trying to reiterate: Value yourself, value yourself. We talk about that on the podcast a lot, about how women tend to not have strong egos as men and don’t really prioritize themselves,” she shared.
