Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are nearing the end of their divorce process after a long legal battle. Both of them are now seeing other people.
The Magic Mike star and Dewan, along with their lawyers, are set to meet up before going into a “case resolution conference” at E!. At the initial meeting, the actors and their legal teams will be discussing financial issues. Later going over what both of them want from this case, including whether they want legal witnesses.
Once they have completed this process, they will meet in front of a judge in the case resolution conference to determine the settlement of their divorce. The couple filed for divorce eight months after announcing their separation. They are planning to share joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Everly.
Samantha Spector, Dewan’s lawyer, said in a statement to E!, “We look forward to resolving these matters in a timely and straightforward way. Nothing in the world matters more to Jenna than the comfort and well being of her daughter Everly. Everything Jenna has done and will continue to do is with that in mind.”
The couple has remained on good terms since their split and often spend time together, including Halloween, with their daughter as well. They said in their joint separation statement in April of last year that they “will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly.”
Since their separation, both Dewan and Tatum have started seeing other people. Channing is now dating British singer Jessie J while Jenna is dating actor Steve Kazee. There seem to be no hard feelings between the couple. Jenna took to Instagram to support Jessie after the latter spoke out against constantly being compared to Dewan.
Tatum and Dewan have not yet announced a divorce date.
