Ariana Grande and her grandmother Marjorie Grande got new tattoos together, and this was Nonna’s first ever tattoo. She felt zero pain.
Grande celebrated her Woman Of The Year honors at Billboard with this new tattoo, and her grandmother joined her.
In a video in Grande’s Instagram story, Marjorie Grande says, “I feel fine. I’ve had a little bit more excitement than this.”
She got her late husband’s nickname tattooed on her left ring finger. Her finger read the name ‘Ciccio’.
After her grandmother was done, Grande also added to her tattoo collection. She showed off her new tattoo of a crescent moon besides stars.
The tattoos were done by Mira Mariah, who posted on Instagram writing, “for the woman of the year.”
Before this family affair, Grande attended Billboard 2018 Women in Music Awards where she was named Woman of the Year.
She took the stage in a short lavender dress with knee high lavender boots, completing the look with her signature high pony.
During her speech, Grande said, “This is really special. I want to say that I find it interesting that this has been one of the best years in my career and one of like the worst years in my life.”
The Sweetener singer explained that the reason why she was saying any of that was “because I feel like a lot of people would look at someone in my position right now I guess; Woman of the Year, an artist that could be at her peak, reaching her you know, whatever, and think, you know, ‘She’s really got her s**t together, she’s really on it, she has got it all’.
She elaborated, “I do, but as far as my personal life goes I really have no idea what the f**k I am doing.”
As the crowd laughed, she added, “So yeah, it’s been a very conflicting one. I just want to say if you’re someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter is going to bring, you’re not alone in that.”
She concluded her speech, during which she had to hold back tears several times, she said, “I look forward to hopefully learning to give some of the love and forgiveness that I have given away so frivolously and easily to men in the past to myself this year.”
Grande also performed her new song Thank U, Next at the event.
