Ariana Grande does not have time for Pete Davidson’s jokes about their relationship on SNL, and does not care to keep quiet about it.
In a promo for the upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, Davidson jokingly asked musical guest Maggie Rogers, “Hey Maggie, I’m Pete. You wanna get married?”
Rogers turned down Davidson, who is now sporting blue-green hair. “0 for three,” Davidson said sadly.

The joke is a reference to the fact that in addition to his failed engagement with Grande, Davidson has also tried and struck out with Larry David’s daughter Cazzie David and Girl Code star Carly Aquilino.
It is not clear if he was engaged to the other two, but clearly those relationships also failed, prompting Davidson to make the joke.
Davidson has also joked about the failure of his engagement to Grande during stand up shows before, asking a crowd if they needed a roommate and making fun of how his inspired tattoos always got him into trouble.
Back when the two got engaged in June, Davidson took to SNL to make jokes about dating her as well, saying, “I got engaged and no one could believe it. I can’t believe it and I get it. She’s the No. 1 pop star in the world and I’m that guy from SNL everyone thinks is in desperate need of more blood.”
The sketch show also devoted a segment to Kyle Mooney attempting to shoot to fame just as Davidson did over the summer due to his engagement to the world famous pop-star.
The show went on hiatus just before the two split on October 14, and it seems that the comedian is determined to make as many self-deprecating jokes as possible once it resumes.
In response to Davidson’s jokes, Grande tweeted and later deleted, “For somebody who claims to hate relevancy [you] sure love clinging to it huh. Thank [you], next.”
She also liked a tweet that said, “SNL is about to milk their breakup just like they did with the engagement.” The tweet accompanied a clip of Maggie and Pete conversing and her turning him down.
Grande has made it clear that she is over Davidson and ready to forget him: she has covered up the tattoos she got of him and has steered clear of mentioning him or talking about their relationship.
Her brother, Frankie Grande, recently said of her at Heidi Klum’s Halloween bash, “She’s a strong powerful woman. She’s working really hard and I’m so unbelievably proud of her as I always am as her big brother.”
Saturday Night Live airs Saturday at 11:30PM.
