Although Logan Paul did apologize for the video, it seems like that is just not enough. He said he just didn’t know how to react when he saw the dead body, but does that really justify going through with uploading the video?

The common stance is that Logan has apologized only because of how the criticism could affect his business – which it now has.

His channel is also being removed as an ad partner from the Google Preferred program. A YouTube representative stated, “In light of recent events, we have decided to remove Logan Paul’s channels from Google Preferred.”

“It’s taken us a long time to respond, but we’ve been listening to everything you’ve been saying. We know that the actions of one creator can affect the entire community, so we’ll have more to share soon on steps we’re taking to ensure a video like this is never circulated again.”

“We expect more of the creators who build their community on @YouTube, as we’re sure you do too. The channel violated our community guidelines, we acted accordingly, and we are looking at further consequences.”

“Suicide is not a joke, nor should it ever be a driving force for views. As Anna Akana put it perfectly: “That body was a person someone loved. You do not walk into a suicide forest with a camera and claim mental health awareness.”

Twitter is now lauding YouTube for highlighting that suicide is not a joke and making Logan Paul pay for his frivolous and inconsiderate video.

One post said, “YouTube announced it will cut business ties with Logan Paul. Meaning he will lose his RED show and film, and ALL of his channels have been removed from Google’s preferred ad program (top paying advertisers) so he will pay financially. I think this is honestly a fair punishment.”
