Moreover Nick told E! News, “I am schocked and saddened by Ms. Schuman’s accusations”

“Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual. We went on to record a song and perform together, and I was always respectful and supportive of Melissa both personally and professionally. This is the first time that I am hearing about these accusations, nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm” he concluded.

Nick’s wife Lauren Kitt also came to his rescue. While she has not addressed the claims directly, she implicitly showed support for her husband by retweeting a post from actor Michael Rapaport.

The post reads, “I 500 percent don’t support sexual harassment & I 500 percent don’t support unproven sexual harassment. People taking sides sight unseen. Scarlet lettering M————. Taking sides about accusations by people they will never make eye contact with or look up & face check. GTFOH.”

The teen singer revealed that they met at Nick’s house in Santa Monica in California in 2002, when the pop singer was only 18. Nick at that time was 22.

The duo had recently been cast in a movie together. They met at Carter’s house for a ‘casual hangout’.

Melissa Schuman said that Carter requested her to come with him to his home office to listen to some of his new music.

However, things took a different turn and they began kissing when her pulled her into his bathroom and began to unbutton her pants.

Melissa claims she told Nick that she ‘didn’t want to go any further’. However, Nick continued to perform oral sex on the teen pop singer.

Things took a more dangerous turn, when allegedly Nick forced Melissa too to perform oral sex on him and took her to his bathroom and raped her.

Schuman, now 33, claims “I told him that I was a virgin and I didn’t want to have sex,” she said. “I told him that I was saving myself for my future husband. I said it over and over again.”

“He whispered in my ear to entice me ‘I could be your husband.'” the songstress wrote. “He was relentless, refusing to take no for an answer. He was heavy, too heavy to get out from under him. Then I felt it, he put something inside of me. I asked him what it was and he whispered in my ear once more, ‘It’s all me baby.'”

Nick however, denies allegations claiming the entire episode was consensual.
