The 35-year-old royal has not been seen taking part in any official engagement. But she joined Prince William, 35, and Prince Harry, 33, in order to host Buckingham Palace reception to mark World Mental Health Day.
According to the reports, Kate took six weeks off royal duties because of severe morning sickness that she suffered when she was pregnant with Prince George, who is now 4-years-old, and Princess Charlotte, 2-years-old.
Due to this Kensington Palace has been forced to announce about her pregnancy far earlier than it was initially planned.
According to an insider the duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum but her condition is more stabilized now and is improving with every passing day. The reason Kate chose to attend this event was because this cause is really close to her heart.
The due date of Kate will be confirmed by the palace once she passes the ’12-week date’ after which the risk off miscarriage will be reduce tremendously. Even though Kate is not in her best shape these days but she appeared to be in excellent spirits as she greeted her guests at the palace’s opulent reception rooms.
The elegant duchess accessorized her beautiful frock with a pair of black suede heels and a small clutch bag. Her brown locks were curled and she kept her makeup to a minimal.
Kate also showed off her beautiful but expensive blue topaz and diamond earrings that are worth around £3,500!
Among all the guests at the event former Dame Esther Rantzen, model Adwoa Aboah and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg were also included. Kate was appreciated by all for making an appearance despite being so sick.
Stephen Fry, who is the president of the charity Mind, said: “I do understand she’s been having this problem more severely than many pregnant mothers and so we’re very grateful [she’s here].”
He added: “No one would realize if they hadn’t done it, which makes it all the more remarkable that they have.”
Dr Nicola Byrom, who is the founder of charity Student Minds, appreciated Kate and said: “She’s amazing. What a fighter that she’s here.”
All three Royals, William, Kate and Harry have supported this issue and encouraged people to join mental health campaign and speak-up about it. They even asked the people to talk more about their psychological problems so that they can get the help they need.
The young royals also thanked all those from this sector who provide support to so many people who are going through rough times!
