Splitsville: Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky Part Ways After a Year of Dating

Actress, Jennifer Lawrence, and director, Darren Aronofsky, called it quits on their relationship.

The power couple dated for a year before breaking up.

Reportedly, the two were last seen together at the Governors Awards in L.A. November 11.  A source told E! News that the breakup happened a month ago. The source also revealed that ‘It was amicable and they are still friends’.

The ex-couple met originally on the sets of the movie Mother. Jennifer Lawrence played a lead role in the movie while Darren Aronofsky directed the movie.

Even though the movie did not do very well, but it sparked an amazing romance between the two.

The couple was very private about their romance, making very few public appearances. However, the two did make their debut as a couple at the NYC premiere of their film in September.

Jennifer also spoke about how her initial romance days with The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter.

The actress said, “I had a crush on him when he pitched to me, and that was a year before we started rehearsing. But he was a professional, which only made it worse for me.”

“We just kind of formed a friendship. He knew how I felt; he never told me how he felt. I mean, I assumed. And then friendship turned into a partnership once we started working. And when the movie was done, I was like ‘Alright, you’re my boyfriend'” the actress further added.

She had a lot of praise for the director. J Law continued to say that Darren “is an amazing communicator which comes in handy for the relationship.”

She further spoke about how he’s great at communicating with actresses, “You completely see it the way he sees it. You’re like, ‘Oh, OK. i’ll do that.’ There’s amount of control that’s comforting…There’s also an air of freedom.”

“I normally don’t like Harvard people, because they can’t go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard…He’s not like that. I’ve been in relationships before where i am just confused. I’m never confused with him.”

Recent news also include that the Oscar winner is keeping a low profile post her breakup.

Photographs of The Hunger Games actress, walking her dogs in New York City came out on Wednesday. The news of their split came out the same day. However, she was hiding her face underneath a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.

Jennifer probably does not want to deal with media attention at the moment and we understand that!
