Emma Watson seems to be bringing positivity in her boyfriend Chord Overstreet’s life. The actress and activist has been doing a lot of good around the world, and now it’s her turn to focus on relationships closer to home.
Emma is known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, whereas Chord was a standout star on the T.V. show, Glee.
Overstreet thinks dating Watson has been a positive change for him, compared to the women he has been with in the past. Reportedly, he has claimed that Watson is different from all his ex-girlfriends.
A source close to the couple told US Weekly, “Chord is intrigued by Emma. Chord historically hasn’t dated someone like Emma. This is a huge and positive change for him.”
The duo started dating each other two months back and have since been inseparable. They were first spotted in public together exiting the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty on March 4. According to Us Weekly, the couple had been dating for quite a while before that, and all of their friends knew about the relationship.
A source told People magazine that even though Emma and Chord seem like an ‘odd’ pairing, they have very similar personalities.
In November 2017, Emma broke up with her boyfriend, William ‘Mack’ Knight, after two years of dating. On the other hand, Chord has previously been romantically associated with Rumer Willis, Emma Roberts, Lily Collins, Ashley Benson, and Brooke Butler.
The actress and model has never been one to push her relationships in the limelight. She has always preferred to keep her private life away from the cameras and paparazzi.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Watson explained why she liked to keep her private life out of the media circus. She said, “I want to be consistent: I can’t talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home. You can’t have it both ways.”
She further added, “I’ve noticed in Hollywood, who you’re dating gets tied up into your film production and becomes a part of the performance and circus. I would hate anyone that I were with to feel like they were in any way part of a show or an act.”
The young Beauty and the Beast star is wise beyond her years and clearly knows where to draw the boundaries.
