Throughout the years, many celebrities have undergone the blade but not all have opted to speak about their plastic surgery or have even accepted it, in some cases.
However, others went public, sharing their experiences and even publicly regretting their decision.
Here is a list of ten of the many who opened their hearts about the reasons that took them to alter their bodies:
Heidi Montag went through several surgeries, more than one could imagine. At the age of just 23, The Hills Alum underwent a head-to-toe transformation.
In addition to Botox, chin reductions and a nose job, the reality star also endured fat injections in her lips. “I love my body!”, she said immediately after the surgery.
She went under the knife to have a staggering 10 plastic surgery procedures done in just one day. Appearing on The View with her husband Spencer Pratt, Montag revealed that her plastic surgeries were prompted when the late Dr. Frank Ryan pointed out everything that was wrong with her. However, he didn’t warn her of all the pain and recovery that would go along with it.
“I really just went back in to get my nose reset and get a little bit larger of implants because I had been elbowed by a backup dancer in a music video that I was doing and then I went in and was talking to my doctor and he just kind of diagnosed me and was like, ‘You should get a chin reduction, and an eyebrow lift,” Montag told host Barbara Walters.
Iggy Azalea has been vocal about her under the knife experiences. She openly talked about getting her nose done in the newest edition of seventeen, “I’m not denying it, denying it is lame.”
She said: “Plastic surgery is an emotional journey. It’s no easy feat to live with your flaws and it’s no easy feat to change yourself. Either way you look at it. It’s a tough journey. There are things that I didn’t like about myself that I changed through plastic surgery. There are others things I dislike that I’ve learned to accept.”
The Aussie rapper told the April 2015 issue of Vogue magazine that she recently got breast implants.
“I did change something: Four months ago, I got bigger boobs! I’d thought about it my entire life,” she revealed.
She went through a surgery to do her chin right. Jennifer Aniston is very amused by laser treatments and is not ashamed to use them as she requires.
“I had [a deviated septum] fixed–best thing I ever did,” she told People in 2007.
“I slept like a baby for the first time in years. As far as all the other [rumors], as boring as it sounds, it’s still mine. All of it. Still mine.”
She told the February issue of the Mag: “And I love lasers and [other noninvasive treatments like] Thermage [radio frequency] and Ultherapy [ultrasound]. I also like a good microcurrent facial.”
She was merely 21-year-old when she underwent her breast enlargement surgery. Kourtney Kardashian also had a rhinoplasty, filling up her cheeks and lips up.
As public as she was about the surgery, she didn’t seem to shy out when she felt unhappy about her decision.
She seemed to regret the decision later, saying: “I wish had not done it. I had great boobs. Now I’m gonna have to get them redone at some point.”
Jessica Simpson got lip fillers which she later admitted to hating her lip injections!
“I had that Restylane stuff. It looked fake to me. I didn’t like that,” she told Glamour in 2006.
Lucky for her, she didn’t have to stay with the horror of disowning herself and her natural features recovered.
“But it went away in, like, four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God!”
Spunky Betty White, 89, recently admitted that she’s a member of a large and disreputable club: celebrities who deceive their fans by getting plastic surgery yet denying they have done so.
As recently as last year, she was saying “she’s glad she hasn’t gone under knife — and wishes her old friends followed in her footsteps and grew old gracefully.”
But now she has written a new memoir, “If You Ask Me” in which she says: “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature! But in 1976 I had my eyelids done. I scolded myself forever, but now I’m glad I did it.”
Kris Jenner isn’t afraid to share the truth! She even went as far as having a face-lift on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Despite her claims that she has never had a nose job, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is reportedly devastated by her plastic surgery nightmare.
A source told Touch magazine: “Kris would love to get her pinched nose repaired, but [she’s been told] it’s beyond repair because she’s had it nipped, tweaked and sculpted way too many times.”
Kim Kardashian has denied to getting her breasts enlarged. She made it clear in her blog that this is her natural body. However, she wants to get a lift one day.
“I have not ever had plastic surgery. Hope after seeing this you guys will never ask me a plastic surgery question again! I have had a size C since I was 11 years old! One day I will definitely get a lift, but I am waiting until after I have kids. Until then I rely on a great supportive bra!”, Kim Kardashian wrote on her blog, October 2008.
Caitlyn Jenner completed her transition with a 10-hour facial ‘feminization’ surgery that, according to Vanity Fair, took place on March 15, 2015.
The former Olympian reportedly underwent the below-the-belt surgery in January of this year. Having the operation apparently was a “complex decision,” and Jenner considered potential health risks.
His decision of transforming from Bruce to Caitlyn Jenner was taken well by his family and they all stood in his support.
In early 2014, the star sported fuller-looker smackers, sparking speculations that she had had a lip surgery.
The then 16-year-old Kylie denied the allegations, calling it “kinda insulting”. She only admitted to having “temporary” lip fillers in a 2015 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians after her sister, Khloe busted her.
In a episode of her show, Life of Kylie, the 20-year-old finally came clean that she was motivated to plump her pout surgically after her first kiss.
She explained: “The guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you were gonna be a good kisser ’cos you’ve such small lips.’ I took that really hard… it just really affected me. I didn’t feel desirable or pretty.”
